Dr. Darel Edwards
Dr. Edwards is an Optometrist in Vidalia providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities.
As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Edwards provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. In addition to training in eye diseases and disorders, Dr. Edwards is also trained in anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. With this background, Dr. Edwards is trained to recognize a range of health issues; such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and hypertension.
Dr. Edwards works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of Dr. Edwards's dedication to continuing education that our Vidalia patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.
Dr. Jarvis Johnson
Dr. Jarvis Johnson was born and raised in Gordon, GA where he was a graduate of Wilkinson County High. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. He then received his Doctorate's from The Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. While in Optometry school, was a member of the American Optometric Association, National Optometric Association and Optometrists for Private Practice. Dr. Johnson completed his external rotations in Ocular disease at Coldwater Vision and the Memphis VA Medical Center. Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, and his practice interests include pediatrics, advanced dry eye, anterior segment ocular disease,and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Johnson is a member of the Georgia Optometric Association, American Diabetic Association, National Optometric Association, and College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD).
